DesignSalonen
A podcast series consisting of 10 episodes – a collection of conversations with Danish designers and design thinkers. An insight into the most creative and innovative minds behind Danish design.
Here, you'll find everything you need to know about design, furniture and craftsmanship. DesignSalonen is a platform for design knowledge, insights, philosophies, theories, disciplines, language, agendas, cultures, dogmas and debates. A space that offers a deeper understanding of the many facets of design. We explore, challenge, illuminate and put things into perspective.
The conversation also touch on careers, ambitions, broken dreams, ideals and idols, opinions and considerations, as well as secrets & successes.
The podcast is for students, designers and architects, design companies and industry professionals – but first and foremost, for anyone with an interest in design. You don't have to be a design enthusiast to tune in. Everyone is invited to listen and, hopefully, be inspired.
At the end of each episode, we ask our guests a series of Marcel Proust-inspired questions. Discover how they live and furnish their own homes, which designs and designers they personally love, what their private cultural interests look like, whether they have a design guilty pleasure, and what their greatest luxury is. Plus much, much more!
DesignSalonen is presented by FRAMING – a group exhibition held at Odd Fellow Palace during 3daysofdesign – and the podcast series pays tribute to the historic salons that took place at Odd Fellow Palace during the 18th and 19th centuries.
Among the guests are: Bly Studio, Kasper Salto, Niels Gammelgaard, Thomas Lykke, Signe Byrdal Terenziani, Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen, Johannes Torpe, Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm, Jeppe Utzon and Lars Vejen.
